On the first day of Lunar New Year, the City Manager, Layne Long with the President of ACOM, Kathy Biala, and a board member Ms May Dungo came to visit Uu Dam, a Vietnamese Buddhist Temple in Marina. The event was hosted by Vietnamese Buddhist Community in Monterey county. Many races joined the event, not only Vietnamese, such as Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos, Mexican American, African American, White, etc.
Two Korean Professors from Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center came to the event with a Korean traditional dance.
